J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Remove the push-in retainers from the bottom of the rocker molding at the rocker panel, using the J 38778 .
2. Remove the retainers from the rocker molding at the front fender wheel opening edge.
3. Remove the retainers from the rocker molding at the front fender.
4. Remove the retainers from the rocker molding at the quarter panel.
5. Remove the rocker molding by pulling off, from front to the rear.



6. Drill the rivets from the rocker molding support using a 6.0 mm (1/4 in) drill bit.
7. Remove the rocker molding support from the rocker panel.

1. Align the rocker molding support to the first front hole in the rocker panel.
2. Install a rivet to the first front hole in the rocker panel molding support.
3. Install a rivet to the last rear hole in the rocker panel molding support.
4. Install the remainder of the rivets to the rocker panel molding support.



5. Align the rocker panel molding to the rocker panel.
6. Install the tabs to the rocker molding support.
7. Install the rocker panel molding retainers to the front fender.
8. Install the rocker panel molding retainers to the quarter panel.
9. Install the push-in retainers to the bottom of the rocker panel molding.
10. Install the retainer to the rocker panel molding at the front fender.
