Up/Down or In/Out Adjustment


    Object Number: 294482  Size: SH
  1. Loosen the front door side hinge bolts. Do not remove the bolts.
  2. Adjust the door up or down and in or out by repositioning the door as necessary.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Tighten the 2 door side hinge bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the door side hinge bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

Fore/Aft Adjustment

  1. Remove the front fender insulator to gain access to the body side hinge bolts. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement in Body Front End.

  2. Object Number: 308350  Size: SH
  3. Loosen the 2 13 mm body side hinge bolts (1). Do not remove the bolts.

  4. Object Number: 308351  Size: SH
  5. Loosen the 1 10 mm cone adjuster body side hinge bolt (1). Do not remove the bolt.
  6. Loosen 1 Torx® body side hinge bolt. Do not remove the bolt.

  7. Object Number: 308350  Size: SH
  8. Adjust the door fore and the aft by repositioning the door as necessary.
  9. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   10. Install the 1 Torx® body side hinge bolt.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the Torx® head body side hinge bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  12. Install 1 10 mm cone adjuster body side hinge bolt (3).
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the cone adjuster body side hinge bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  14. Install the 2 13 mm body side hinge bolts (1).
  15. Tighten
    Tighten the body side hinge bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  16. Install the front fender insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement in Body Front End.
