Removal Procedure
- For manual and power adjusters, pull foreward on the track covers from the front of the adjusters.
- For manual seat adjusters only, remove the adjuster track cover screw from the rear adjuster track cover.
- For power adjusters only, pull rearward on the rear track covers to remove them.
Installation Procedure
- On the rear track cover, press foreward and down to install the track covers to the rear of the adjuster (power adjusters).
- Install the adjuster track cover screw to the rear adjuster track cover (the manual seat adjuster only).
- On the front track cover, press rearward and down to install the track cover into the front of the adjuster (the manual or the power adjusters).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the adjuster track screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
