Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 305133 Size: SH
  1. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  2. Position the front seat back to the full upright position.
  3. Unhook the J-retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.

    4. Object Number: 521245 Size: SH
  4. Pull up on the front seat cover to enlarge the opening for access to the front seat frame.

    5. Important: The use of a small flat-bladed tool as a lever under the top of the retainer will help in the removal of the headrest retainer.

  5. Reach carefully inside the front seat back between the seat back cover and the seat back pad and squeeze the bottom of the headrest retainer together, while pulling the headrest retainer upwards from the seat back frame with the other hand.
  6. Remove the headrest retainer from the front seat back frame.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 521249 Size: SH

  1. Install the guide to the seat back frame.

  2. Firmly push the guide to lock into the seat back frame.
  3. Close the J-retainer at the bottom edge of the seat back cover.
  4. Install the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  5. Return the seat back to the original position.
