Was the Rear Compartment Lid Release System Check performed?

Activate the power door lock switch in one direction and then in the other direction.

Do the door locks activate?

  1. With a test light, connect between the rear compartment lid release relay terminal C2 and B+.
  2. Using a Tech 2, activate the rear compartment lid lock release actuator.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. With a test light ,backprobe between the BCM connector C2 terminal B12 and B+.
  2. Using a Tech 2, activate the rear compartment lid lock release actuator.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. With a test light, backprobe between the rear compartment lid lock release actuator connector terminal A and terminal B.
  2. Using a Tech 2, activate the rear compartment lid lock release actuator.

Does the test light illuminate?

With a test light, connect between the rear compartment lid lock release actuator terminal B and B+.

Does the test light illuminate?

With a test light, connect between the rear compartment lid release relay connector terminal C1 and ground.

  1. Using a 5 A fused jumper, connect between the rear compartment lid release relay terminal C1 and terminal A2.
  2. With a test light, connect between the rear compartment lid lock release actuator terminal A and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control Systems for service procedure.
  2. Perform the new BCM setup procedure. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control Systems for service procedure.
