Removal Procedure
  1. Open the rear compartment.

    2. Object Number: 324449 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the harness at the applique and the actuator.
  3. Tie a string to the rear compartment lid wire harness. Ensure that the string is long enough to allow you to feed the wire harness back through the rear compartment lid.
  4. Pull the harness wire out of the rear compartment lid.
  5. Disconnect the harness connector under the quarter panel.
  6. Remove the string from the wire harness and leave the string in the compartment lid.
  7. Remove the harness.

Installation Procedure
  1. Connect the new harness to the string.
  2. Pull the string back through the rear compartment lid until the rear compartment wire harness is inside of the rear compartment lid.

    3. Object Number: 324449 Size: SH
  3. Remove the string from the wire harness.
  4. Connect the harness at the applique and the actuator.
  5. Connect the harness at the quarter panel.
  6. Close the rear compartment.
