Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Engine Controls.

  2. Object Number: 161163  Size: SH
  3. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable from the automatic transaxle range selector lever.

  4. Object Number: 161164  Size: SH
  5. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable from the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket.

  6. Object Number: 161088  Size: SH
  7. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket bolts.
  8. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 161088  Size: SH
  1. Install the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the automatic transaxle range selector cable to the bracket

  6. Object Number: 161163  Size: SH
  7. Install the automatic transaxle range selector cable to the automatic transaxle range selector lever.
  8. Adjust the automatic transaxle range selector cable if necessary. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment .
  9. Install the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Engine Controls.
