Removal Procedure
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Release and reposition the rubber access cover from the rear of the front fog lamp assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp bulb.
- Carefully depress the end of the fog lamp bulb retainer, then rotate the retainer slightly counterclockwise to release.
- Carefully remove the front fog lamp bulb from the front fog lamp assembly.
Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly
could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal
injury:
• Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing
the bulb. • Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete. • Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb. • Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass. • Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb. • Properly dispose of the used bulb. • Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children.
Installation Procedure
- Carefully install the front fog lamp bulb to the front fog lamp assembly.
- Position the fog lamp bulb retainer, then carefully depress the end of the retainer and rotate slightly clockwise to secure.
- Connect the electrical connector to the fog lamp bulb.
- Install the rubber access cover to the front fog lamp assembly.
- Lower the vehicle.
