The range for most AM (Amplitude Modulated) stations is greater than for FM (Frequency Modulation), especially at night. For longer rage, however, can cause stations to interfere with each other. AM can pick up noise from things like storms and power lines. Try reducing the treble to reduce this noise.
FM (Frequency Modulation) stereo will give you the best sound. But FM signals will reach only about 10 to 40 miles (16 to 65 km). Tall buildings or hills can interfere with FM signals, causing the sound to come and go. If reception is poor, tuning to a stronger station will bring improvement.
All factory-equipped sound systems with a FM stereo radio will switch to stereo operation whenever an FM stereo broadcast is being received, and a STEREO or ST indicator will light on the display. Stereo operation means the radio is separating a stereo broadcast back into the original two channels, called left and right.
The Rear Seat Radio Controls are located on the rear face of the front floor console.
You can control ceertain functions from the rear seat using the buttons on the rear face of the center console.
The rear window antenna is mounted above the defogger grid on the rear window glass. This system is able to increase the signal strength and improve the radio reception.
