  1. Press the lockout switch to OFF position.
  2. Turn the ignition to the LOCK position.
  3. Disconnect the inoperative window switch.
  4. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  5. Use a test light, to frontprobe the inoperative window switch terminal:
  6. • RF window switch terminal B
    • Rear window switch terminal E

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Use a test light, to frontprobe the inoperative window switch:
  2. • RF window switch terminal A and E
    • Rear window switch terminal C and H
  3. Press the LF window switch up and down.

Does the test light illuminate in both cases?

--

Repair a poor connection or open in circuit 1307 between the inoperative window switch and S307.

Has the repair been completed?

--

Go to Power Windows System Check

  1. Turn the ignition to the LOCK position.
  2. Reconnect the window switch.
  3. Disconnect the window regulator motor.
  4. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  5. With a test light, frontprobe the window regulator motor terminal A and B.
  6. Press the switch up and down.

Does the test light illuminate both cases?

  1. Turn the ignition to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the LF window switch.
  3. Use a digital multimeter J 39200 and check continuity in circuit 166, 168 or 170.

Is there continuity?

--

Replace the window regulator motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement or refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement .

Has the repair been completed?

  1. Turn the ignition to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the window switch.
  3. Use a digital multimeter J 39200, to check continuity in circuit 666, 668 or 670.

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 10

Check for a short to ground in circuit 166, 168 or 170.

Is there a short in the circuit?

--

Repair an open in circuit 166, 168 or 170.

Has the repair been made and the system rechecked?

Check for a short to ground in circuit 666, 668 or 670.

Is there a short in the circuit?

Repair an open in circuit 666, 668 or 670.
