Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the finish panels. Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the center armrest if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 305139  Size: SH
  5. Unfasten the J-retainers on both sides of the seat cushion cover.

  6. Object Number: 305138  Size: SH
  7. Slide the cushion cover up to expose the recliner to the seat back attachment.
  8. Remove the roll pins from the recliner to the seat back. Discard the roll pins.
  9. Remove the recliner to the seat back frame pivot bolts.
  10. Remove the seat back from the seat cushion.

  12. Remove the trim retainer rings.
  13. Unfasten the hook and the loop retainers securing the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad.
  14. Pull the seat cushion cover from the pad.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 305142  Size: SH
  1. Pull the seat cushion cover over the pad.
  2. Fasten the hook and the loop retainers securing the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad.
  3. Install the trim retainer rings.

  4. Object Number: 305138  Size: SH
  5. Install the seat back to the seat cushion.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the recliner to the seat back frame pivot bolts. Do not tighten.
  8. Install the roll pins to recliner seat back. Use new roll pins.

    Tighten
    Tighten the seat back frame pivot bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  9. Slide the cushion cover down to cover the recliner to the seat back attachment.
  10. Fasten the J-retainers on both side of the seat cushion cover.
  11. Install the finish panels. Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement .
  12. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  13. Install the center armrest if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement .
