Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to
Front Seat Replacement - Bucket
.
- Remove the seat with the
adjusters attached.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors as equipped.
- Remove the finish panels. Refer to
Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the adjuster to seat cushion frame bolts.
- Remove the adjuster from the seat cushion frame.
- Remove the electrical wiring harness connectors from the motors.
- Remove the nut securing actuator motor bracket to the seat adjuster
assembly.
- Remove the cables from the motors. Refer to
Seat Horizontal and Vertical Drive Cable Replacement
.
- Remove the motor assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Install the motor assembly.
- Install the cables to the motors. Refer to
Seat Horizontal and Vertical Drive Cable Replacement
.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the actuator
motor bracket to the seat adjuster nut.
Tighten
Tighten the actuator motor bracket to the seat adjuster nut to 10 N·m
(89 lb in).
- Install the electrical wiring harness connectors to the motors.
- Install the adjuster to the seat cushion frame.
- Install the actuator motor bracket to the seat frame bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the actuator motor bracket to the seat frame bolts
to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the finish panels. Refer to
Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Install the front seat in the vehicle. Refer to
Front Seat Replacement - Bucket
.
- Install the seat with
the adjusters attached.
