CHUGGLE AT CRUISE SPEED REPLACEMENT OF EGR VALVE

AN ENGINE DRIVEABILITY CONDITION SOMETIMES INTERPRETED AS "CHUGGLE" MAY BE ENCOUNTERED AT CRUISING SPEEDS BETWEEN 45 TO 55 MPH ON SUBJECT VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 5.0L (307) ENGINE AND 200 4-R TRANSMISSIONS. THIS CONDITION CAN BE IMPROVED BY RESETTING SPARK TIMING TO 18F @ 1100 RPM AND INSTALLING A REDESIGNED EGR VALVE. A KIT PART NUMBER 22514242 WHICH INCLUDES A NEW TUNE-UP LABEL, NEW EGR VALVE AND COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS CAN BE ORDERED FROM GMPD. THE NEW TUNE-UP LABEL MUST BE INSTALLED ON EACH CAR TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL REGULATIONS.
