This bulletin supersedes Bulletin 82-I-232A, Group 64A, Number 35.
On the inside of this Bulletin is a quick and handy reference chart for Buick's current replacement PROMS and/or EGR to fix owner's driveability comments.
Before using any of the fixes the emission system must be functioning correctly and, if the carburetor (on engines equipped with carburetors) has been adjusted previously, it must be readjusted according to the dimensional setting procedure in the 1984 Buick Chassis Service Manual, using mixture control solenoid gaging tool J33815-1 and idle air bleed valve gaging tool J33815-2.
Also included with this Bulletin are two (2) plastic covered pocket reference cards of the Driveability Fixes Chart. Discard all previously issued white or tan plastic cards.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
