SHUDDER OR SLIP/SOFT UPSHIFT OIL FILTER INSTALL/700 TRANS.

WHEN INSTALLING AN OIL FILTER ON ANY SUBJECT TRANSMISSION, BE CERTAIN TO: A.INSPECT THE "O" RING SEAL FOR NICKS OR CUTS. REPLACE IF NECESSARY. B.LUBRICATE THE "O" RING SEAL WITH PETROLATUM. C.INSTALL BY LOCATING THE FILTER IN THE CASE AND PUSHING DOWNWARD WITH A TWISTING MOTION UNTIL THE FILTER IS SEATED. DO NOT FORCE THE FILTER IN PLACE BY STRIKING IT, OR THE "O" RING SEAL MAY BE DAMAGED CAUSING SYMPTOMS SUCH AS: 1.LOW OR FLUCTUATING OIL PRESSURE. 2.FLUCTUATING OIL LEVELS. 3.CONVERTER CLUTCH SHUDDER OR SLIPPAGE DURING APPLY. 4.SOFT UPSHIFTS. 5.EXTENDED OR NON-OBTAINABLE WIDE OPEN THROTTLE SHIFTS. THESE SYMPTOMS, IF NOT REPAIRED, MAY CAUSE THE THIRD CLUTCH PLATES TO WEAR OR BURN.
