SERVICE PUBLICATIONS INFORMATION

The various service publications are available to Buick dealers and customers as follows. Ordering as outlined will assure prompt receipt.

DEALER NEEDS

Printed Labor Time Guides and additional copies of Chassis and Body Service Manuals - These are to be ordered through General Motors Photographic Order Processing using "Service Publications for Buick Dealers" order form (figure 1). Service manual microfiche and various binders can also be ordered using this form.

Dealer Service Bulletin binders and/or tabs - These are to be ordered from Buick Motor Division Administrative Services using the specific binder order form (figure 2).

Owner's Manuals, Maintenance Schedules and Warranty and Owner Assistance Information booklets to replace those missing or lost - These are to be ordered from your local Zone Office on an "as needed" basis.

Additional copies of Dealer Service Bulletins - contact your local Zone Office.

CUSTOMER NEEDS

1983 and prior Service Manuals and Glove Box Publications - These are to be ordered from TUAR Company using the "Buick and Opel Manuals and Materials Order Form" (figure 3).

1984 and later Service Manuals, Glove Box Publications and Product Service Publications (PSP) - These are to be ordered from Service Publications using the "Publications Order Form" (figure 4).

FORM AVAILABILITY

The various order forms are available from your local Zone Office. In addition, most are distributed to all dealers on a periodic basis:

"Service Publications for Buick Dealers" order form (figure 1) is included with the initial distribution of the Chassis Service Manual.

"Dealer Service Bulletin" order form (figure 2) is included with each new model announcement bulletin.

"Publications Order Form" (figure 4) is included in current model owner's manuals, in Product Service Publications Indexes and in Product Service Publication Binder. PSP materials are distributed to dealers quarterly. In addition, PSP order forms can be obtained by calling 1-800-551-4123 or writing Service Publications. P.O. Box 1901, Flint, MI 48501. This order form includes provision to order a "Buick and Opel Manuals and Materials Order Form" if desired.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition.
