VENTIPORT APPLIQUE REPLACEMENT

THE VENTIPORT APPLIQUE ON THE ELECTRA PARK AVENUE FRONT FENDER MOLDING HAS BEEN RELEASED AS A SERVICE PART AND IS AVAILABLE THROUGH GENERAL MOTORS PARTS DIVISION UNDER PART NUMBER 25510207. PRIOR TO ATTACHING A NEW APPLIQUE, WASH THE FRONT FENDER MOLDING AND ADJACENT AREA WITH DETERGENT AND WATER AND WIPE DRY. A.IF APPLIQUE IS DAMAGED: 1.REMOVE DAMAGED APPLIQUE. 2.CLEAN THE SURFACE OF THE MOLDING WITH 3M GENERAL PURPOSE ADHESIVE CLEANER PART NUMBER 8984 OR EQUIVALENT TO REMOVE ADHESIVE OR OTHER FOREIGN MATERIAL. 3.REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE TAPE FROM THE BACK SIDE OF THE NEW APPLIQUE. CENTER APPLIQUE ON FENDER MOLDING SO THAT APPLIQUE RESTS ENTIRELY ON FLAT SURFACE. PRESS FIRMLY IN PLACE APPLYING PRESSURE EVENLY ACROSS ENTIRE APPLIQUE. (SEE ILLUSTRATION). B.IF APPLIQUE IS MISSING: 1.FOLLOW STEPS 2 AND 3 ABOVE.
