CRACKED DECK LID INNER PANELS INSTALL NEW TORQUE RODS

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1983 'C' - 1984 'D' Cadillacs

A condition may be encountered where the resr compartment lids on some 1983 'C' and 1984 'D' Cadillacs rise too fast when released from the lock release button or from the lock cylinder with the key.

This condition may cause damage (cracks) to the lid and/or hinge arm at the lid to arm attaching locations. Should this condition be experienced, repair or replace the parts as required and replace the torgue rods with new rods (Part Number 20515570-1).
