'ITCH' TYPE NOISE IN I/P AREA RUB AT BEZEL & CLUSTER MOUNT

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987 ELECTRA AND PARK AVENUE

If a comment on the above condition is encountered, check for clearance between the lower portion of the bezel and cluster by inserting a piece of paper between the bezel and cluster (See illustration, Figure 1). Cleara'nce should be approximately 1.5mm. If clearance is insufficient, correct as follows:

1. Remove instrument panel pad.

2. Remove six (6) cluster attaching screws remove bezel (See Illustration, Figure 2).

3. Remove sufficient material from one or more of the boss areas of the instrument panel. (Figure 3)

4. Reinstall bezel, instrument panel pad, and recheck for clearance.

Use the most applicable labour operation from the Canadian Labour Time guide and claim .6 hours.
