On the above models with the Bose radio option, one of the following conditions may exist:
* Inoperative front door speaker * Static emitted from a front door speaker
This condition can be caused by water entering the doors via the mirror and window openings, and dripping on the speaker enclosure; and, working its way into the enclosure through the amplifier mounting screws protruding through the enclosure plastic.
* If the amplifier had gotten wet, DO NOT attempt to dry and reuse it. Replacement of the amplifier is required.
* If the speaker has any indicators of having gotten wet, replace it.
* Replace enclosure with:
16067410 Right Front 16067420 Left Front
* To prevent further water intrusion, seal all screw holes with sealant such as strip caulking, prior to installation of the screws.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
