Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1926984 Size: SH
  1. Remove the underhood bussed electrical center (UBEC). Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement .
  2. Remove the body wiring harness (1) /engine wiring harness (2) electrical connection clip from the UBEC bracket.

    3. Object Number: 1926986 Size: SH
  3. Remove the UBEC bracket bolt (1) and nuts (3).
  4. Remove the UBEC bracket (2) and reposition out of the way.

    5. Object Number: 1860397 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector(s) (1) from the ignition coil(s) (4).

    6. Object Number: 860797 Size: SH
  6. Remove the ignition coil bolt(s).
  7. Remove the ignition coil(s).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 860797 Size: SH
  1. Install the ignition coil(s).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the ignition coil bolt(s).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt(s) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector(s) (1) to the ignition coil(s) (4).

    4. Object Number: 1926986 Size: SH
  4. Position and install the UBEC bracket (2).
  5. Install the UBEC bracket bolt (1) and nuts (3).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt/nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the body wiring harness (1) /engine wiring harness (2) electrical connection clip to the UBEC bracket.
  7. Install the UBEC. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement .
