Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1864264 Size: SH
  1. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold alignment pins.

    2. Object Number: 1864263 Size: SH
  2. Install the fuel injector rail.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1864262 Size: SH
  3. Install the fuel injector rail bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel injector rail bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the fuel injector wiring harness connector.

Upper Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1864260 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel injector sight shield ballstud.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel injector sight shield ballstud to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  2. Install a NEW intake manifold tuning valve O-ring.

    3. Object Number: 1864258 Size: SH
  3. Install the intake manifold tuning valve.

    4. Object Number: 1864257 Size: SH
  4. Install the intake manifold tuning valve bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the intake manifold tuning valve bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1864256 Size: SH
  5. Install the NEW throttle body gasket.

    6. Object Number: 1864255 Size: SH
  6. Install the throttle body.

    7. Object Number: 1864254 Size: SH
  7. Install the throttle body bolts.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the throttle body bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1864252 Size: SH
  8. Install the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

    9. Object Number: 1864251 Size: SH
  9. Install the MAP sensor bolt.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the MAP sensor bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

Upper to Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure

    Object Number: 1864250 Size: SH

    Important: Do not reuse the upper-to-lower intake manifold gasket and the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.

  1. Install the NEW upper-to-lower intake manifold gaskets.

    2. Object Number: 1864249 Size: SH
  2. Install the upper intake manifold to the lower intake manifold.

    3. Object Number: 1864248 Size: SH
  3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolt to the upper intake manifold.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel injector wiring harness bracket bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1864247 Size: SH
  4. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the upper-to-lower intake manifold bolts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
