The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A customer may complain of a yellowish or brown stain at the Base of the A pillar. This will be most noticeable on a light colored vehicle. This can be caused by an out gassing from a rubber block behind the fender. This will only happen during the curing process of the paint at the assembly plant.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Refinish the area as needed. The rubber block will not cause this concern again.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
