The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Customer comment of harsh coast down shifts or may comment that there is excessive engine braking on decel after campaign 07217A or 07274.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Compare to a like vehicle for excessive engine braking concern. Engine braking is a normal characteristic for this vehicle.
Obtain a snapshot during the concern using TSB 07-07-30-010 and send to henry.steaban@gm.com.
Be sure to include the VIN for the vehicle with the snapshot.
Perform the fast learn procedure to learn transmission adaptives.
Important Note: If fast learn does not complete, a no drive or reverse condition can occur, see PIP4203
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
