Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1839760 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the exhaust manifold lower heat shield bolts (1, 2).
  3. Remove the exhaust manifold lower heat shield.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1839760 Size: SH
  1. Position the exhaust manifold lower heat shield to the engine.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the exhaust manifold lower heat shield bolts (1, 2). Tighten bolt (1) to 10 N·m (89 lb in) and tighten bolt (2) to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
  3. Lower the vehicle.
