Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
  2. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
  3. Remove the turn signal multifunction switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement.
  4. Remove the turn signal switch bracket. Refer to Turn Signal Switch Bracket Replacement.
  5. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) cluster trim plate assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Replacement.
  6. Remove the instrument panel trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement.
  7. Remove the driver knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
2.5 N·m (22 lb in)
