Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2000 🢒 GL7 (Export) 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 3.0L (LW9) 🢒 Engine Mount Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Air Filter Element Replacement in Engine Controls.
  2. Remove the engine mount struts. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement .
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  4. Remove the catalytic converter pipe from the engine right side exhaust manifold. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement in Engine Exhaust.
  5. Remove the right front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  6. Remove the right engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End.

    7. Object Number: 96007 Size: SH
  7. Remove the engine mount bracket-to-oil pan bolts.

    8. Notice: In order to avoid oil pan damage and possible engine failure, insert a block of wood that spans the width of the oil pan bottom between the oil pan and the jack support.

  8. Insert a block of wood between the utility stand and the oil pan.
  9. Use the utility stand in order to raise the oil pan.

  10. Remove the engine mount upper nuts.
  11. Remove the engine mount bracket from the engine mount.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 96010 Size: SH
  1. Install the engine mount bracket to the engine mount.
  2. Install the engine mount upper nuts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount upper nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  3. Use a utility stand in order to lower the engine.

    4. Object Number: 96007 Size: SH
  4. Install the engine mount bracket to the oil pan.
  5. Install the engine mount bracket-to-oil pan bolts.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount bracket-to-oil pan bolts to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).

  6. Install the right engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End.
  7. Install the right front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Connect the catalytic converter pipe to the engine right side exhaust manifold. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement in Engine Exhaust.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Install the engine mount struts. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement .
  11. Install the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Air Filter Element Replacement in Engine Controls.
