Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

1. Shift the transaxle into the PARK position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Are the backup lamps illuminated?

Go to Step 3

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the transaxle range switch connector C1.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Are the backup lamps illuminated?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

1. Adjust or replace the transaxle range switch. Refer to Park/Neutral Position Switch Adjustment in automatic transaxle.
2. Inspect the system.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 6

1. Repair a short to B+ on CKT 24. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
2. Inspect the system.
