Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Place the turn signal switch in both the left and right hand positions.
  2. Observe both turn signal indicators.

Did both turn signal indicator illuminate?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Did only one turn signal indicator illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Turn Signal Lamps Inoperative

Observe the corresponding outside turn signal of the indicator that did not illuminate.

Did the corresponding turn signal lamp illuminate?

Go to Step  5

Go to Turn Signal Lamps Inoperative - Left or Right Side

Test the affected turn signal indicator circuit for a high resistance or open. Refer to or in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step  8

Go to Step  6

Inspect the affected turn signal indicator bulb and replace if needed.

Was the turn signal indicator bulb defective?

Go to Step  8

Go to Step  7

Replace the IPC. Refer to in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.

Important: Perform the set up procedure for the IP.

Did you complete the replacement and the set up procedure?

Go to Step  8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
