Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) and the breather tube from the air intake tube.

  2. Object Number: 69062  Size: SH
  3. Remove the air intake tube.

  4. Object Number: 69065  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the TP sensor.

  6. Object Number: 201482  Size: SH
  7. Remove the 2 screws retaining the TP sensor.

  8. Object Number: 201473  Size: SH
  9. Remove the TP sensor.

  10. Object Number: 201503  Size: SH
  11. Remove the TP sensor O-ring.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the TP sensor O-ring.

  2. Object Number: 201473  Size: SH
  3. With the throttle valve in the closed idle position, install the TP sensor on the throttle body assembly.

  4. Object Number: 201482  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the 2 screws that retain the TP sensor. Use Loctite® 262, GM P/N 1052624, or equivalent thread-locking compound on the screws.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.0 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.

  8. Object Number: 69062  Size: SH
  9. Install the air inlet tube.
  10. Connect the IAT electrical connector and breather tube to the air inlet tube.
