Check for a cracked or broken exhaust manifold.

Is the exhaust manifold cracked or broken?

Replace any cracked or broken exhaust manifolds. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

Tighten the nuts and the bolts to specifications. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Replace the gaskets and tighten the flange bolts to specifications. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . If necessary, weld the joint where leakage is present.
