Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Left Side for Buick GL7 (Export) 2000
Removal Procedure
- Open the ashtray.
- Remove the screws from
the IP accessory trim plate.
- Use a small, flat-bladed tool in order to remove the upper tabs
on the IP accessory trim plate from the instrument panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the IP accessory trim plate from the instrument panel.
Installation Procedure
- Install the IP accessory
trim plate to the instrument panel.
- Connect the electrical connectors.
- Align the upper tabs of the IP accessory trim plate to the instrument
panel.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws
to the IP accessory trim plate.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Close the ashtray.
