Removal Procedure
Tools Required

Pad and Garnish Clip Remover
- Raise and support vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the front tires and wheels.
- Remove the engine splash
shield. Refer to
Engine Splash Shield Replacement
.
- Remove the front fender
liner bolts/screws.
- Remove the front fender liner from the inner fender and the front
bumper fascia.
Installation Procedure
- Align the front fender
liner to the inside of the fender.
- Tuck the front fender liner forward of the tabs on the engine
splash shield.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Starting at the
rear bottom and working forward, install the bolts/screws through the holes
in the front fender liner.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts/screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the bolts/screws through he holes in the front fender
liner to the front bumper fascia.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts/screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the engine splash
shield. Refer to
Engine Splash Shield Replacement
.
- Install the front tires and wheels.
- Lower the vehicle.
