  1. Set the mirror select switch to the LEFT or RIGHT position, as needed.
  2. If the left mirror is inoperative, probe with a test lamp between the outside rearview mirror remote control switch connector terminals G and H. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  3. If the right mirror is inoperative, probe with a test lamp between the outside rearview mirror remote control switch connector terminals A and C. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  4. While observing the test lamp, press the mirror position switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Using a test lamp, probe between the inoperative outside rearview mirror connector terminals B and C. Refer to Circuit Testing . in Wiring Systems.
  2. Press the mirror position switch to the UP position while observing the test lamp.

Replace the outside rearview mirror remote control switch. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the mirror motor pack. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Replacement .

  1. If the left mirror is inoperative, repair the poor connection or open in circuit 1499. Refer to Connector Repairs or Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
  2. If the right mirror is inoperative, repair the poor connection or open in circuit 1497. Refer to Connector Repairs or Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
