Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 441629  Size: SH
  1. Use a heat gun 152 mm (6 in) from the surface in order to heat the lower edge of the sliding door molding.
  2. Use a circular motion for 30 seconds when applying the heat.

  3. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to peel the lower edge of the sliding door molding from the surface.
  4. DO NOT damage the paint.

  5. Pull the lower edge of the sliding door molding out in order to release the retainers.
  6. Pull the lower edge of the sliding door molding out in order to release the molding from the lower locating pins.
  7. Pull the lower edge of the sliding door molding up in order to release the molding from the upper support.
  8. Remove the sliding door molding from the door.
  9. Pull out the center pins of the support retainers.
  10. Use a heat gun 152 mm (6 in) from the surface in order to heat the door molding support.
  11. Use a circular motion for 30 seconds when applying the heat.

  12. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to peel the door molding support from the surface.
  13. DO NOT damage the paint.

  14. Remove the sliding door molding support from the door.
  15. Use oil-free naphtha or alcohol in order to clean the body panel.
  16. Remove all traces of adhesive from the body panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 319612  Size: SH

    Important: 

       • DO NOT touch the exposed adhesive tape with your hands.
       • DO NOT allow the exposed adhesive tape to collect any dirt or foreign material.

  1. Remove the protective liner from the back side of the support.
  2. Use a heat lamp or heat gun in order to warm the door to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).
  3. Insert the support retainers into the holes starting with the front hole.
  4. Press the support inward in order to ensure a maximum bond to the door.
  5. Drive in the center pins of the retainers.
  6. Use a heat lamp or heat gun in order to warm the door to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).

  7. Object Number: 319609  Size: SH
  8. Install the sliding door molding to the door.
  9. Snap the center flange of the door molding into the 2 outer retainers.
  10. Snap the lower locating pins into the holes in the door.
  11. Snap the center flange of the door molding into the remainder of the retainers on the door.
  12. Push the upper portion of the door molding inboard over the retainers.
  13. Remove the protective liner from the back side of the door molding.
  14. Press the bottom of the sliding door molding inboard in order to ensure a maximum bond to the door.
