Info - Reminder to Check HVAC Module Drain Tube Orientation During Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)

Subject:Reminder to Check HVAC Module Drain Tube Orientation During Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)

Models:2005-2006 Buick Allure (Canada Only), LaCrosse

This bulletin is a reminder to check the orientation of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) module drain tube when doing a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) of a new vehicle.

The drain tube should be pointed downward. Some vehicles have been found with the drain tube pointed in the upward direction, caused by the vehicle assembly process, which does not allow water to drain from the HVAC module. This condition will eventually lead to a water leak that drains onto the floor of the passenger compartment. Technicians should turn the drain tube so that it points downward, if necessary.
