Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear window trim panel, as required. Refer to
Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement.
- Remove the rear sound barrier, as required. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Sound Barrier Replacement.
- If removing the center retractor, remove the belt bezel from the rear window shelf. Pass the bezel and seat belt through the rear shelf bezel opening.
- Remove the rear seat belt retractor bolt.
- Remove the rear seat belt retractor from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the rear seat belt retractor in the vehicle.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
Note: Be sure to seat the alignment tabs.
- Install the rear seat belt retractor bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat belt retractor bolt to 68 N·m (50 lb ft).
- If installing the center retractor, pass the seat belt through the bezel opening and install the belt bezel.
- Return the rear sound barrier to its installed position. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Sound Barrier Replacement.
- Install the rear seat belt retractor anchor bolt to the floorpan.
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat belt retractor bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).
- Install the rear window trim panel to its installed position. Refer to
Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement.
