Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1282670 Size: SH

    Note: Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.

  1. Remove the HVAC control assembly. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement.
  2. Remove the drivers information center switch bank. Refer to Driver Information Display Switch Replacement.
  3. Remove the radio screws.
  4. Pull the radio toward you.

  5. Disconnect the instrument panel (I/P) wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector from the radio.
  6. Remove the radio.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 929292 Size: SH
  1. Position the radio to the I/P.
  2. Connect the I/P wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector to the radio.

    3. Object Number: 1282670 Size: SH

    Note: If the radio locator is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.

  3. Install the radio to the I/P.

    4. Align the radio locator to the hole in the I/P while pressing the radio into position.

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the radio screws.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the drivers information center switch bank. Refer to Driver Information Display Switch Replacement.
  6. Install the HVAC control assembly. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement.
  7. Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
