Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the supplemental inflatable (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the instrument panel trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement.

Mounting Inflatable Restraint Module Nut (Qty: 6)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
15 N·m (11 lb ft)

If the air bag had a DTC, it must be returned for warranty, refer to Inflator Module Handling and Scrapping.
