REAR PINION BEARING OUTER RACE INSTALLER

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1981-84 Vehicles Equipped With 7 1/2 Inch Rear Axle

When installing a rear pinion bearing outer race on 1981 through 1984 7 1/2 inch axles, use installer J-29609 with drive handle J-8092. The 1984 chassis Service manual lists J-6197 as the required Rear Pinion Bearing Outer Race Installer, which is incorrect. Update your chassis service manual to show J-29609 as the correct tool number.
