CLUTCH PLATE IDENTIFICATION 250C & 350C TRANSMISSION

IN 1981, THINNER CLUTCH PLATES ARE USED IN THE 250C (M31) AND IDENTIFIED BY A BLACK STRIPE(S). THE THICKER CLUTCH PLATES USE IN THE 350C (MV4) ARE IDENTIFIED BY A BLUE STRIPE(S). BECAUSE OF SIMILAR CONFIGURATION, THE FORWARD CLUTCH WILL HAVE TWO (2) STRIPES AND THE DIRECT CLUTCH WILL HAVE ONE STRIPE. REFER TO FIG. 5 FOR 1981 CLUTCH PLATE IDENTIFICATION DESCRIBING STRIPING IDENTIFICATION AND PLATE THICKNESS.
