CENTER CONSOLE LATCH BREAKAGE (INSTALL LATCH KIT P/N)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1988 CENTURY 1988 LESABRE 1988 ELECTRA/PARK AVENUE

NOTICE: This bulletin revises the models affected and associated part numbers and replaces Dealer Service Bulletin 88-10-7 which should be discarded.

In the event a center arm rest storage compartment cover latch becomes disengaged from the cover, repair as follows:

1. Order a new latch kit, Part Number:

12392867 - Blue 12392868 - Saddle 12392872 - Dark Red 12392873 - Gray

LeSabre

12392867 - Blue 12392868 - Saddle 12392869 - Red 12392873 - Gray

Electra/Park Avenue ------------------- 12392867 - Blue 12392869 - Red (78) 12392870 - Taupe (Med. Antelope) 12392871 - Rosewood (75) 11392873 - Gray

2. Insert two (2) springs into holes in latch (per illustration).

3. Line up inside edges of grooves in latch with edges of hole in arm rest cover.

4. Push latch into hole until you hear the snaps click into place.

5. Push latch several times to see if it is functioning properly.
