Some of the 1992-93 LeSabre models may exhibit a wavy appearance on the rear fascia lower edge.
To correct this condition, a molding kit, part number 25616605 has been released. The kit includes five (5) parts of three (3) different lengths. The different lengths are necessary due to the retaining tabs on the fascia.
Begin by installing the shortest molding (125 mm or approximately 5 inches) in the center of the fascia. On either side of the center molding, install the next shortest moldings (175 mm or approximately 6 7/8 inches) just past the fascia retaining tabs. The remaining moldings are then installed between the outboard fascia retaining tabs. (See illustration). Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
