THE CONDITION EXISTS FOR POSSIBLE INTERFERENCE OF THE TECH 1 WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN HOOKING UP TO THE DATA LINK CONNECTOR.
THE TECH 1 CONNECTOR MAY EXTEND DOWN IN FRONT OF THE BRAKE PEDAL.
THE FOLLOWING STEPS SHOULD BE TAKEN FOR PROPER TECH 1 HOOKUP:
1. REMOVE TWO (2) PUSH-TYPE RETAINERS HOLDING DLC INTO LEFT-HAND SOUND INSULATOR.
2. REMOVE DLC AND GENTLY PULL EXTRA SLACK IN HARNESS THROUGH CONNECTOR OPENING.
3. PLUG TECH 1 (USING 12/16 PIN ADAPTER FOR 1994 MODELS) INTO DLC.
4. REROUTE TECH 1 CABLE AROUND PARK BRAKE PEDAL LEVER TWO TIMES (MAKING SURE TO REMOVE SLACK IN CABLE).
5. REINSTALL DLC IN SOUND INSULATOR AFTER USING TECH 1.
