Was the entire Brake Warning System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the body control module connectors.
  2. Connect a DMM between the the instrument cluster harness connector C2, terminal D3 and ground.
  3. Ignition switch in RUN.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to step 3

Go to step 4

  1. Connect the body control module connectors.
  2. Perform the Body System Check in Electrical Diagnosis.

If no problems were found, replace the Body Control Module Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Brake Warning System Check

    • (Buick) repair open in circuit 33 (TAN/WHT)
    • (Pontiac) repair open in circuit 1845 (LT GRN) or 899 (diode).

If open, check for a short to positive voltage.
