Removal Procedure
- Remove the cross car support brace. Refer to
Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement
in Body Front
End.
- Remove the rear spark plug wires and bracket and set aside.
- Disconnect the electrical
connector (5) from the blower motor (2).
- Remove the cooling tube (4) from the blower motor (2).
- Remove the screws (3) that attach the blower motor (2)
to the blower module assembly (1).
- Remove the blower motor (2).
Installation Procedure
- Install the blower motor (2).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws (3)
to the blower motor (2).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 6 N·m (55 lb in).
- Install the cooling tube (4) to the blower motor (2).
- Connect the electrical connector (5) to the blower motor (2).
- Install the rear spark plug wires and bracket.
- Install the cross car support brace. Refer to
Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement
in Body Front End.
