  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Place the headlamp switch in the PARK position.
    • The following VF displays turn on:
       - Radio
       - Heater and A/C Control Assembly
       - Passenger Climate Control (with CJ2)
       - Instrument Cluster
       - Head-Up Display (with UV6)
    • The following incandescent lamps (if vehicle equipped) light:
       - Door Lock and Seat Switches
       - Steering Wheel Controls
       - Traction Control Switch
       - Instrument Cluster
       - HVAC Control Assembly
       - Headlamp Switch
       - Ashtray
       - Radio
       - Fuel Door/Luggage Compartment Lid Release Switch Assembly
       - Passenger Climate Control Assembly
       - Head-Up Display (HUD) Control Module
       - Head-Up Display (HUD) Control Switch
       - Gain Control Switch
       - Lamp Monitor Display
       - PRNDL Incandescent Lamps

Operate the interior dimming switch in both directions through the full range.

In one direction the incandescent lamps and the VF displays become bright. In the other direction, the incandescent lamps become dim (except the ashtray lamp on the Buick, which remains at full intensity).
