Radio Rear Speaker Replacement Buick

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 416910  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Remove the speaker bracket mounting fasteners.
  3. Lower the speaker bracket.
  4. Remove the speaker (1) from the bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 416910  Size: SH
  1. Align the speaker (1) to the bracket.
  2. Install the speaker bracket to the rear shelf.
  3. Align the speaker to the fastening studs.

  4. Install the speaker bracket mounting fasteners.
  5. Connect the electrical connector.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the speaker grille. Refer to one of the following procedures: Radio Rear Speaker Grille Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 309068  Size: SH
  3. Remove the fasteners retaining the speaker (1).
  4. Partially remove the speaker.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Remove the speaker (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 309068  Size: SH
  1. Partially install the speaker (1).
  2. Connect the electrical connector.

  3. Install the speaker (1).
  4. Install the fasteners.
  5. Install the speaker grille. Refer to one of the following procedures: Radio Rear Speaker Grille Replacement .

Radio Rear Speaker Replacement Oldsmobile

Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment lid.

  2. Object Number: 482159  Size: SH
  3. Remove the fasteners (1) retaining the rear speaker to the rear speaker retainer.
  4. Partially lower the speaker.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connector (2).
  6. Remove the speaker.

Installation Procedure

  1. Partially install the speaker.

  2. Object Number: 482159  Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connector (2).
  4. Align the speaker to the speaker retainer.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the speaker fasteners (1).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  8. Close the rear compartment lid.
