Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the washer fluid level switch connector.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from the washer fluid level switch connector terminal B to terminal A.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the low washer fluid indicator illuminate?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  3. Measure the resistance from the instrument cluster connector terminal A11 to the ground.

Does the resistance equal the specified value?

0 ohms

Go to Step 6

Test the washer fluid level switch connector for proper terminal contact at terminals A and B.

Is the terminal contact OK?

Test CKT 99 (BLK/WHT) for an open or a short to the battery.

Is the wiring OK?

Test the instrument cluster connector for proper terminal contact at terminal A11 (Pontiac w/UB3) or D11 (Oldsmobile w/ UH8).

Is the terminal contact OK?
