Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the trim panel retaining fasteners from the lower armrest bezel.
  3. Remove the lower armrest bezel.
  4. Use a thin-bladed tool.

  5. Disengage the switch plate retainer clips.
  6. Insert a small, flat-blade tool between the switch plate and the trim panel.

  7. Lift the switch plate.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  9. Remove the passenger climate control.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the passenger climate control to the switch plate.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors.
  3. Install the switch plate in the trim panel.
  4. Push inward the switch plate.

  5. Install the trim panel retaining fasteners.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
